Union Square
With nearly 200 booths, the Union Square Holiday Market is one of the largest Christmas markets in New York. It follows a traditional European layout, with the booths arranged in a spiral pattern. As you wind your way through the booths and food trucks, you’ll forget you’re in New York City. Although this market is outside, it has a warming station for visitors to heat up and a children’s art center for kids to enjoy. This market opens in the middle of November and runs through the end of December.
Grand Holiday Bazaar
The Grand Holiday Bazaar is a beautiful celebration of New York community. It features some of the most talented local artists and the market’s profits go straight to supporting local public schools. The market is open year-round on Sundays, but during December, it transforms into a holiday market. Check out over 150 local artists selling handmade items and curated pieces. This is a great place to support local New York artists and creators and find some unique gifts.

Columbus Circle Holiday Market
Don’t miss Columbus Circle Holiday Market which will make you feel like you’re in an old European village and not a bustling city. Located in Columbus Circle, this elegant market it’s right at the entrance of Central Park in front of the gold statue. There are over 100 vendors selling souvenirs and trinkets. And of course delicious treats like mulled cider and fresh Belgian waffles. Enjoy a stroll through Central Park or a skate in the nearby Wollman Ice Rink. Stay warm at Grand Central Holiday Fair, one of New York’s longest-running indoor holiday markets! During November and December, Vanderbilt Hall turns into a lovely spot for Christmas shopping. All of the items for sale are handmade in the United States with locally-sourced materials. Given its location in the busy train station, this market gets up to 1 million visitors each day. Holiday Market at the Oculus
Each November, the usually wide-open first level of the Oculus turns into a charming Christmas market. The Holiday Market at the Oculus is decorated with Christmas trees, wreaths, and holiday lights. Browse through the 20+ booths for souvenirs, gifts, and treats. There are also concerts in this space as well. To finish off your Christmas shopping, check out the rest of the shops in the Oculus.
Artist and Fleas at Chelsea Market
Another indoor market to add to your list! Chelsea Market is known for its endless food selection but make sure to stop in Artist and Fleas as well. This market is open year-round and features small and local artists selling unique and quirky antiques, vintage pieces, and handmade items.
