This post is all about where to go for the best rooftop brunch in NYC.
I’ve lived in NYC for 5 years, and I STILL get butterflies in my stomach when I see the skyline. No matter how many times I see it, the view always reminds me why I fell in love with this city in the first place.
One of my favorite ways to soak in that experience is through a rooftop brunch with a prime view of the beautiful city I get to call home.
If you’re visiting New York for the first time (or just looking for a new weekend go-to), this guide has you covered with my favorite spots for rooftop brunch in NYC.
9 Spots for the Best Rooftop Brunch in NYC
1. RH Rooftop – Meatpacking
RH Rooftop crowns the Restoration Hardware store in Meatpacking and is everything you’d expect from their restaurant – it’s elegant with chandeliers, lush greenery, and plenty of natural light.
The skylight garden is open year-round, making it a perfect spot for brunch keep up your sleeve that will wow any group you’re with. On the menu, you’ll find bites like truffle grilled cheese and smoked salmon on sourdough.
They don’t take reservations, so try to arrive early or be prepared for a wait. If you do need to wait, grab a coffee at Kobrick nearby and enjoy a stroll through the neighborhood.
2. Haven Rooftop – Midtown
Haven Rooftop, at the top of the Sanctuary Hotel in Midtown, is a solid choice if you want brunch with a lively vibe. The space is colorful, with string lights and plenty of cozy seating.

For a rooftop brunch with a touch of old-school glamour, Ophelia is the place to be. Sitting atop the historic Beekman Tower, this Art Deco-style rooftop offers stunning East River views. The window-side tables have the best views, so if you can, request one when making a reservation.
The brunch menu is small but well-executed, with dishes like lobster rolls, crab cake benedict, and truffle fries. Cocktails here are a highlight—try the signature Lavender 75.
6. The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens – Times Square
Most people don’t associate Times Square with a peaceful brunch, but The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens proves otherwise. This rooftop, part of The Edition Hotel, is a hidden oasis above the chaos. You’ll feel like you’ve escaped the city without actually leaving it.
The menu is upscale, featuring dishes like lemon ricotta pancakes and soft scrambled eggs with caviar. This spot is pricier than some, but it’s a great choice for a special occasion brunch.
